"La Glycine Airman a été popularisée par la guerre du Vietnam et utilisée par des pilotes et des soldats américains, mais son histoire remonte aux années 50." Voila qui place le contexte pour cette pièce horlogère historique! Cette montre d'aviateurs a la particularité de pouvoir afficher 2 fuseaux horaires. Le cadran gradué de 24h (et non 12h) vous donnera l'heure que vous souhaitez tout au long de la journée. Les aiguilles des secondes et des minutes quant à elles poursuivent leur cycle habituel tout au long de la journée (60min | 60 secondes). La montre possède une lunette rotative actionnable en dévissant la couronne située à 4h (ou 8h sur "l'heure Glycine"). Ainsi vous pouvez positionner cette lunette sur l'heure souhaitée afin de vous donner l'heure sur un 2ème fuseau horaire. Notre modèle est en excellent état de conservation. Sa lunette graduée présente l'ensemble de ses graduations et parfaitement fonctionnelle. Le cadran est celui d'origine laissant apparaitre les mentions "Glycine Airman Special" à 12h, "Automatic" et " T Swiss T" à 6h. Le lume des aiguilles a probablement été refait de façon professionnelle par le passé car de teinte légèrement différente du lume cadran qui est d'origine. Cela étant, ce lume reste harmonieux et cohérent dans son ensemble. Le verre est celui d'origine avec sa loupe à 3h. Le bracelet est signé Glycine mais n'est pas celui d'origine. Ces montres étaient vendues sur FixoFlex à l'époque. Un bracelet en cuir ou nato pourraient tout à fait convenir à cette pièce (entrecorne 20mm).

A mechanical movement is wound daily using the crown of your watch. Wind your watch without forcing the stop in the case of a complete winding.
- Automatic movements :
An automatic movement will find its energy through the movements of your wrist. So you only have to wear your watch to ensure its operation.
We strongly recommend that you set the time first and then wind your watch before wearing it on your wrist. Avoid setting the time between 9pm and 3am as much as possible, which is when the date changes.
- Quartz movements:
You don't need to do anything to keep it running. If your watch stops, we recommend that you have the battery changed by a watchmaker who will recommend the battery best suited to your watch's mechanism.
