This example is in very good condition. This watch underwent a complete overhaul and restoration in 2024. This Seiko Pogue 6139-6002 is equipped with the 6139B movement , which was completely overhauled in June 2024. The yellow dial is marked "JAPAN 6139 - 6030R" at 6 o'clock. The yellow internal bezel is fixed. The second hands are original and have been repainted. The hour and minute hands are new. The glass is a replacement glass, also new. The reset is perfect. The same is true for the passage of the date complications (hard press on the crown) and day (light press on the crown) . You will have read above in the description that our model has undergone a complete restoration with parts from Seiko. An overall consistency has therefore been maintained on this legendary model, known for having been "the first" automatic chronograph to have gone into space (Thanks William Pogue). It will therefore not have the rating of a full original model but it certainly retains its charm! The bracelet is the original one, however 3 links are missing. The bracelet measures 134cm (80cm + 54cm). We have therefore chosen to equip this 6139-6002 with a yellow Port-Louis bracelet from Avel&Men (one size).

How to set your watch?

  • Hand-wound mechanical movements :

A mechanical movement is wound daily using the crown of your watch. Wind your watch without forcing the stop in the case of a complete winding.

  • Automatic movements :

An automatic movement will find its energy through the movements of your wrist. So you only have to wear your watch to ensure its operation.

We strongly recommend that you set the time first and then wind your watch before wearing it on your wrist. Avoid setting the time between 9pm and 3am as much as possible, which is when the date changes.

  • Quartz movements:

You don't need to do anything to keep it running. If your watch stops, we recommend that you have the battery changed by a watchmaker who will recommend the battery best suited to your watch's mechanism.

1 year* parts and labor warranty

All parts serviced by us or not are guaranteed against abnormal wear and/or abnormal malfunction for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase.

Drop&Watch will not be held responsible for improper use of the watch from the time of receipt.
